Commission for the SOLIDS project by housing company Stadgenoot, Amsterdam: for the glass bridges 15 huge crystals and metal trees where made; the trees hold up the bridges, while the crystals seem to cut through the glass floors all the way up to the 5th floor. In the daytime they mirror the surroundings, at night a programmed sequence of colourde light from within starts to shine.
Made by steel and half transprant mirror glass, LED lights and computer program, it serves as a modern, 3 dimensional stained glass facade to highlight the special features of the architecture and the concept of the project; living and working, mixing flexible functions in one building.
